Protect the City's Water Supply — And Avoid Costly Fines Backflow Prevention & Annual Testing
New York State and City law mandate annual testing of backflow prevention devices for many types of properties. Failure to comply risks serious fines — or worse, water shutoff.
Who needs to comply?
Any property with equipment that could risk contaminating the public water supply, including:
- Buildings with boilers, chillers, irrigation, or water reuse systems
- Properties with commercial kitchens, laundromats, car washes, or medical facilities
- Residential buildings with treated water boilers
What’s required?
Backflow devices must be installed by a Licensed Master Plumber and tested every 12 months by a certified tester. Forms must be signed by an LMP and submitted to DEP.
Not sure if your property needs a device? We’ll help you find out — and stay in full compliance with no stress.

Stay Ahead of FDNY Requirements and Insurance Risk Fire Pump & Sprinkler Testing
Fire protection systems aren’t just about compliance — they’re about saving lives. NYC law and NFPA 25 require strict monthly and annual testing to ensure your system is ready when it counts.
What’s required?
- Monthly “churn” tests of fire pumps to verify pressure and function
- Annual performance testing with no flow, 100%, and 150% flow readings
- Monthly sprinkler/standpipe checks for office and mixed-use buildings
- Annual sprinkler testing (required for all buildings)
- 5-Year hydrostatic tests witnessed by FDNY
Our certified inspectors hold S-12 and S-13 Certificates of Fitness. We handle everything from inspection to documentation — and even handle FDNY pretests, emergency repairs, and violation removals.

Avoid $5,000 Penalties with Proactive Compliance Local Law 152 – Gas Piping Inspections
LL152 requires gas piping inspections every four years for most NYC buildings — even if your building doesn’t have active gas service.
Who must comply?
- All buildings in NYC except 1- and 2-family homes (R-3 Occupancy Group)
- Even buildings without gas must file a “No Gas” certification
What’s involved?
A Licensed Master Plumber performs a visual inspection of exposed gas piping — from point-of-entry to meters, hallways, and mechanical rooms — checking for corrosion, illegal installations, gas leaks, and more.
Due in 2024?
Buildings in Community Districts 1, 3, and 10 are required to file this year. Not sure if your property qualifies? We’ll help you look it up and avoid unnecessary risk.
Failing to file on time = $5,000 penalty per building. Don’t risk it.
